Quanta Computer's August revenue soared 177% year-over-year to a record NT$423.97 billion, fueled by robust AI server demand and a clear order pipeline through 2028.
What Happened
Revenue Milestone: Quanta Computer achieved a historic milestone in August, with monthly revenue reaching NT$423.97 billion, a 15.8% monthly increase and a 177.5% surge year-over-year. The company's cumulative revenue for the first eight months of the year has climbed to NT$2.64 trillion, representing a 102.6% growth compared to the same period last year.
Segment Outlook: During its recent earnings call, management projected that AI server revenue will continue to grow quarter-over-quarter in Q3, with full-year revenue expected to double. Conversely, the laptop segment is anticipated to face a 20% quarterly decline, with full-year figures projected to drop by double digits compared to the previous year.
Market Visibility: The company noted that customer demand for AI products remains exceptionally strong, with order visibility extending through 2028. This clear growth trajectory has prompted Quanta to aggressively pursue capacity expansion to keep pace with the influx of new orders.
Capacity Expansion: To address supply constraints, Quanta is acquiring AUO's Huaya plant for NT$19.7 billion, with completion expected by Q4 of next year. Once operational, this facility will double Quanta's AI server assembly capacity in Taiwan and enhance operational efficiency by integrating closely with its R&D headquarters.
