What Happened
Revenue Performance: Garment manufacturer Makalot announced its August revenue reached NT$3.554 billion, representing an 18.49% month-over-month increase and hitting a one-year high, despite a 5.12% year-over-year decline.
Order Outlook: Company spokesperson Lin Heng-yu noted that the year-over-year dip was primarily due to a high base period last year, and current order intake remains in line with expectations, with Q3 revenue projected to grow compared to the same period last year.
Market Challenges: While operations are recovering, the company is closely monitoring the impact of rising oil prices caused by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which could introduce uncertainty for Q4 performance.
Annual Targets: Makalot's cumulative revenue for the first eight months of the year stands at NT$23.616 billion, a 2.17% year-over-year decrease; the company is actively working to close this gap and remains committed to achieving positive revenue growth for the full year.
