Semiconductor testing firm MA-tek achieved record-breaking revenue for the sixth straight month in August, driven by robust demand for AI chip analysis from North American clients.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: Semiconductor testing leader MA-tek reported August revenue of NT$565 million, marking an 17.8% year-over-year increase and the sixth consecutive month of record-high monthly revenue. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months of the year reached NT$4.196 billion, representing a 17.6% growth compared to the previous year.
Growth Drivers: The strong performance is primarily driven by North American CSPs accelerating the development of custom AI chips, which has increased the complexity of advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration. Consequently, demand for MA-tek's high-end failure analysis (FA) and reliability analysis (RA) services has surged, fueling sustained operational growth.
Japan Expansion: MA-tek is deepening its presence in the Japanese market, with its first failure analysis laboratory in Hokkaido scheduled to begin operations in September. The company plans to further expand its laboratory footprint across the Kanto and Tohoku regions in the fourth quarter to support local advanced process R&D requirements.
North American Strategy: Having served North American advanced process clients for years, MA-tek is committed to enhancing real-time service capabilities. The company has announced plans to establish local failure and material analysis services in the United States by 2027 to better support its international customer base.
