Semiconductor testing firm MA-tek posted a record-breaking performance for the first nine months of the year, driven by surging demand for AI chip and advanced packaging analysis.

What Happened

Financial Performance: MA-tek reported September revenue of NT$569 million, a 12.31% year-on-year increase, with total revenue for the first three quarters reaching NT$4.765 billion. The company achieved a record-high quarterly revenue of NT$1.697 billion for Q3, marking its third consecutive quarter of record growth.

AI and Advanced Process Drivers: Growth is primarily fueled by rising demand for material analysis (MA) and failure analysis (FA) as AI accelerator chip projects and advanced packaging development intensify. The company is also seeing increased demand for high-end memory analysis, specifically for HBM and NAND flash used in AI servers.

Technological Expansion: As data centers shift toward higher voltage power architectures, MA-tek has expanded its capabilities in power semiconductor testing, including GaN and SiC reliability analysis. The company has also established integrated testing solutions for silicon photonics and CPO, alongside atomic-scale analysis for sub-2nm processes.

Future Outlook: Management remains optimistic as the AI semiconductor race expands into optical interconnects and high-voltage power management. By leveraging its laboratory capacity in Taiwan and Japan, MA-tek aims to capture long-term opportunities in next-generation process and high-end testing markets.
