Water infrastructure firm KunTong is set for steady growth as new projects commence and the company expands into power cable conduits and HDPE pipe production.
What Happened
New Project Commencement: KunTong has officially initiated several major infrastructure projects, including the Fengyuan and Wuri-Nantun water pipeline works, which are expected to drive revenue growth in the second half of the year.
Strong First-Half Performance: Driven by the steady execution of its order backlog, the company reported a 15% year-over-year increase in first-half profits, reaching NT$463 million with an EPS of NT$1.87.
Expansion into Power Infrastructure: Leveraging its expertise in pipeline construction, KunTong is targeting the NT$30 billion power cable conduit market, specifically aiming for the 345kV Shinda-to-Nanke transmission line project.
Strategic HDPE Investment: The company is establishing a new subsidiary, Guoyonghong, to produce high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes by late 2026, aiming to capture demand in power generation, desalination, and water recycling sectors.
