EVA Air reported a 24.9% year-on-year revenue increase in August, fueled by record-breaking passenger demand and robust cargo performance.
What Happened
Financial Results: EVA Air achieved a consolidated revenue of NT$22.89 billion in August, a 24.9% year-on-year increase and the second-highest monthly revenue in its history. Passenger revenue reached a record high of NT$14.21 billion, contributing to a strong performance for the first eight months of the year.
Passenger Demand: The summer travel peak drove passenger load factors on long-haul routes to Europe and North America above 90%. Regional routes in Northeast and Southeast Asia also maintained high occupancy levels, sustaining the airline's growth momentum.
Network Expansion: The airline is expanding its flight frequencies on key routes, including services to Incheon and Hangzhou. These adjustments are designed to capture rising demand and strengthen the carrier's competitive position in the regional market.
Cargo Outlook: Cargo revenue rose by 28.7% in August, driven by steady demand for semiconductors, server components, and new electronics. With the European market recovering after the summer holidays, EVA Air plans to optimize its cargo capacity to maximize profitability.
