China Airlines and EVA Air Report Second-Highest August Revenue on Travel Boom

Benefiting from strong summer travel demand and higher ticket prices, both China Airlines and EVA Air achieved their second-highest monthly revenue in August.

Revenue Overview: China Airlines and EVA Air both posted their second-highest monthly revenue in August, bolstered by the peak summer travel season and adjusted ticket prices. China Airlines reported consolidated revenue of NT$21.948 billion, while EVA Air reached NT$22.891 billion.
Passenger Performance: EVA Air achieved a record-high passenger revenue of NT$14.208 billion in August, with long-haul routes to Europe and the U.S. maintaining load factors above 90%. China Airlines also saw its highest passenger revenue for the month of August, driven by strong demand on Northeast Asian routes.
Cargo Momentum: Despite weather-related flight adjustments, demand for high-tech products such as AI servers and semiconductor equipment remained robust. Both airlines are optimizing cargo capacity to capture demand from upcoming consumer electronics product launches.
Operational Outlook: As the traditional peak cargo season begins in September, both carriers expect increased demand for air freight. EVA Air has announced plans to increase flight frequencies on routes to Incheon and Hangzhou to expand capacity and capture market share.
