Driven by strong demand for optical communication components, analysts have upgraded their profit outlook and target price for Visual Photonics Epitaxy.
What Happened
Financial Performance: Visual Photonics Epitaxy (VPE) reported Q3 gross margins and profits exceeding expectations, bolstered by an increased revenue share from optoelectronics. Analysts expect this strong growth momentum to continue, driven by high demand for 200G photodetectors (PD).
Product Strategy: On the receiver side, the company's 200G PD products for major U.S. clients have entered mass production with growing demand. On the transmitter side, there is strong demand for high-power CW lasers from Japanese clients, with new high-power products currently under development.
Technological Edge: As 1.6T optical module penetration increases, the high technical barrier and premium pricing of 200G PDs will serve as a key growth driver. Additionally, EML products are expected to contribute significantly to revenue by 2027, further improving overall margins.
