Loan Overview: Land Bank of Taiwan and Bank SinoPac have co-arranged an NT$8.2 billion syndicated loan for a joint urban renewal project by J-Sun Group and Chang Yao Construction. The funds are earmarked for the redevelopment of the former site of the Taoyuan Hotel, covering approximately 2,175 pings.
Market Reception: The project attracted significant interest from the banking sector due to its prime location and development potential, resulting in an oversubscription rate of 124.5%. Participating lenders include Far Eastern International Bank, the Agricultural Bank of Taiwan, and Taiwan Business Bank.
Urban Impact: The development is slated to become a landmark residential complex with 26 floors above ground and 6 basement levels. It is expected to revitalize the local neighborhood and stimulate commercial activity in the Dayou district as Taoyuan's infrastructure continues to expand.
