PCB manufacturer Kingboard announced a net loss of NT$55.38 million for July 2026, erasing all profits from the first half of the year and shifting to a year-to-date loss.
What Happened
Financial Performance: Kingboard reported a net loss of NT$55.38 million in July 2026, resulting in a loss per share of NT$0.36. This monthly deficit completely wiped out the NT$49.85 million profit recorded in the first half of the year, pushing the cumulative year-to-date result into the red.
Business Operations: The company currently utilizes its Kunshan facility to produce memory module boards and optical communication boards, with the latter accounting for 5% of revenue. Following the divestiture of its Thai and Shulin plants, the firm is focusing on optimizing its production footprint.
Capital Restructuring: To improve its capital structure, Kingboard has approved a 30% cash capital reduction, returning NT$3 per share to shareholders. Including last year's dividend, shareholders will receive a total of NT$4 per share, with the record date set for October 7.
Market Outlook: Despite recent volatility, the stock saw a significant rally of over 63% leading up to the announcement. Investors are now looking toward the upcoming investor conference on August 25 for further clarity on the company's recovery strategy.
