Product Offering: Korea Investment & Securities has opened subscriptions for retail government bonds through IRP and DC retirement accounts, running from September 9 to 15. Investors can choose between 10-year and 20-year maturities, with a minimum investment threshold of 100,000 KRW.
Yield and Liquidity: The coupon rates for the September issuance are set at 4.415% for the 10-year bond and 4.57% for the 20-year bond. A key feature of these bonds is the ability to redeem them early at any time after one year from the date of purchase.
Promotional Campaign: To encourage asset transfers, the firm is offering a 30,000 KRW mobile voucher to all customers who move their DC or IRP assets from other financial institutions to Korea Investment & Securities by September 30. Customers can choose between Naver Pay, Shinsegae, or Baedal Minjok vouchers.
Strategic Focus: This move highlights the firm's commitment to expanding its retirement asset management business. By providing access to government-backed securities and offering incentives, the company aims to attract long-term retirement capital from retail investors.
