Fund Formation: Gangwon Province has finalized the selection of four asset managers for the second year of its 150 billion KRW 'Gangwon Strategic Industry Venture Fund.' The selection process saw a competitive ratio of 2.25 to 1 among nine participating firms.
Selected Managers: The selected firms include Impact Square, a consortium of Sopoong Ventures and Hallym University Technology Holdings, Soosung Asset Investment, and Kiros Venture Investment. These managers will leverage their expertise to identify and nurture promising local enterprises.
Investment Strategy: The selected managers plan to form sub-funds totaling 45.9 billion KRW within this year. This capital will be directed toward supporting the growth of small and medium-sized venture companies within the province.
Future Outlook: The initiative aims to establish a total of 12 sub-funds by 2027. Gangwon Province expects these investments to play a pivotal role in fostering regional strategic industries and accelerating the growth of local startups.
