The Taipei Exchange and partner institutions concluded a series of workshops to help listed companies align with IFRS sustainability standards and carbon reporting.
What Happened
Workshop Conclusion: The Taipei Exchange, in collaboration with the TWSE, TAIFEX, and TDCC, successfully concluded an eight-session series of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory workshops. These sessions were designed to help listed companies navigate international sustainability trends and practical IFRS disclosure requirements.
Core Curriculum Focus: The workshops centered on green security certification and Scope 3 GHG inventory practices. The curriculum provided tailored training for companies at different stages of sustainability development, specifically addressing the technical transition from ISO 14064-1:2018 to IFRS S2 standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Regarding recent FSC updates, the Taipei Exchange clarified that while Scope 3 disclosure requirements have been adjusted for smaller firms, all listed companies must still complete Scope 1 and 2 inventories. Larger firms and those subject to environmental regulations must continue to adhere to third-party assurance schedules.
Future Support: To ensure ongoing support, the exchange will provide recorded sessions online for all listed companies. The Taipei Exchange remains committed to acting as a partner in the net-zero transition, helping firms turn ESG challenges into sustainable business opportunities.
