Hiwin and Hiwin Mikrosystem saw significant revenue growth in August, with Hiwin Mikrosystem hitting a record high as semiconductor and AI demand surges.
What Happened
Hiwin Revenue Performance: Hiwin reported an August consolidated revenue of NT$2.708 billion, a 42.3% year-on-year increase, marking its highest level since August 2022. The growth is primarily driven by robust demand in the semiconductor, AI, and automation sectors, with management expecting a stronger second half of the year.
Record High for Hiwin Mikrosystem: Hiwin Mikrosystem achieved a historic monthly revenue milestone of NT$427 million in August, up 98% year-on-year. This surge is attributed to explosive demand for semiconductor inspection and silicon photonics, with year-to-date revenue growth reaching 55.7%.
Product Strategy and Lead Times: Hiwin is expanding its footprint in CPO components and humanoid robotics, with lead times for ball screws and linear rails extending up to six months. Hiwin Mikrosystem's silicon photonics inspection platforms are also seeing high demand, with order visibility extending into the second quarter of next year.
Capacity Expansion: To address supply constraints, Hiwin Mikrosystem has initiated a two-phase expansion project totaling NT$150 million. The company expects to increase its overall production capacity by an additional 20% by early next year to accommodate the sustained influx of orders.
