Fortune Electric is upgrading its product portfolio from traditional E-glass to advanced Low DK and M9 quartz fabrics to capture demand in AI servers and satellite communications.
What Happened
Material Technology Upgrade: Fortune Electric is shifting its core focus from traditional electronic-grade fiberglass to advanced materials like Low DK, Low CTE, and M9 quartz fabrics. These materials are essential for reducing signal loss and heat accumulation in high-speed applications such as AI servers, 800G/1.6T switches, and low-earth orbit satellites.
Product Mix Optimization: High-end specialized products accounted for 55% of the company's revenue in the first half of the year, with Low DK2 products expected to reach 50% of the Low DK series by the fourth quarter. Combined with recent price hikes implemented in July, these shifts are significantly improving the company's gross margin structure.
Future Growth Drivers: The company is currently seeking client certification for its Low CTE materials for advanced packaging and its high-end M9 quartz fabrics. These products are positioned to serve as the next major growth curve for the company, with revenue projected to grow by nearly 20% annually through 2028.
Global Capacity Expansion: To support long-term demand, Fortune Electric is investing 3.1 billion TWD in a new facility in Thailand. Scheduled for mass production in the third quarter of 2027, the plant will focus on manufacturing high-end fiberglass materials specifically for the AI server and satellite sectors.
