Compal reported August revenue of NT$67.34 billion, facing a monthly decline due to PC market headwinds while scaling up AI server production capacity.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: Compal announced August consolidated revenue of NT$67.34 billion, marking a 16.9% monthly decline but a 14.5% year-over-year increase. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months grew by 18.3% compared to the previous year.
AI Server Expansion: Non-PC business remains the primary growth driver, with AI servers expected to account for 40% of total revenue by year-end. New orders from Neo Cloud are anticipated to further bolster the company's momentum.
Global Production: To meet surging demand for AI cloud services, Compal is expanding production capacity across Taiwan, the U.S., and other international sites. These facilities are scheduled to come online and enter mass production by the end of this year.
PC Market Outlook: Despite a projected mid-double-digit decline in annual PC shipments due to rising component costs, Compal is pivoting toward high-margin AI PC products. The company aims to maintain stable unit profitability through a focus on high-end product mixes.
