Bora Pharmaceuticals posted a 59.2% year-over-year revenue increase for August and unveiled an $850 million asset sale-leaseback deal for its Zhongli plant.
What Happened
Revenue Growth: Bora Pharmaceuticals reported August consolidated revenue of NT$2.18 billion, a 59.2% increase year-over-year, marking the second-highest monthly revenue in its history. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months reached NT$13.97 billion, reflecting a steady 6.09% growth trajectory.
Operational Drivers: The revenue spike was fueled by the fulfillment of deferred CDMO orders and strong contributions from Canadian and U.S. facilities. Additionally, the flagship Vigabatrin product line under the Upsher-Smith brand achieved record-high sales, improving the company's global product mix.
Asset Optimization: The company’s subsidiary, Bora Biologics, approved the sale of its Zhongli Plant II for NT$850 million, coupled with a five-year leaseback agreement to maintain production continuity. This transaction is expected to generate a disposal gain of NT$114 million and improve long-term capital efficiency.
Strategic Outlook: Chairman Bobby Sheng highlighted the company's preparation for AI-integrated CDMO services and anticipates strong performance heading into the peak retail season. Bora remains committed to technological upgrades to enhance shareholder value and strengthen its international market position by 2026.
