Acquisition Completion and Market Position: E.SUN Financial has officially finalized the equity transfer of Mercuries Life, pushing its total assets beyond NT$6.6 trillion. This milestone marks the company's entry into its 'Financial Holding 2.0' phase, solidifying its position as the fifth-largest listed financial holding company in Taiwan.
Leadership Appointments: Following the acquisition, E.SUN Financial has announced a new leadership team for the life insurance unit, with E.SUN Financial President Chen Mao-chin appointed as Chairman and former Mercuries Life Vice Chairman Hsu Ching-hsin as President. The entity is scheduled to be rebranded as 'E.SUN Life Insurance' on December 1st.
Commitment to Stakeholders: The company has guaranteed that all existing policyholder rights and contracts will remain unchanged, with service channels continuing to operate as usual. Furthermore, E.SUN has pledged to retain all current internal and external staff for at least three years, focusing on organizational integration and talent development.
Capital Injection and Strategic Outlook: To bolster the life insurance unit's capital base, the board has approved a NT$16 billion cash capital increase. E.SUN aims to leverage its combined banking, insurance, and securities platforms to enhance cross-industry synergies and deliver long-term value to shareholders.
