BDACS and Cheongus Partner to Build Stablecoin-Based Export Settlement Infrastructure
Technology Services · Data Processing Services · yonhap_finance · 2026-08-27
Crypto custodian BDACS and invoice management firm Cheongus are collaborating to develop a B2B cross-border payment system using stablecoins.
What Happened
Strategic Partnership: Crypto custodian BDACS and DevAllCompany, the operator of the invoice management service 'Cheongus', have partnered to develop a B2B cross-border payment infrastructure. The collaboration aims to enable export companies to receive payments in stablecoins and settle them in Korean Won.
Payment Workflow: Under the proposed system, exporters will issue invoices via Cheongus, and overseas buyers will remit payments using stablecoins like USDT or USDC. BDACS will handle the custody and conversion process to ensure seamless settlement into local currency.
ERP Integration: The companies are exploring ways to integrate stablecoin payment data directly into corporate ERP systems. This automation is expected to streamline accounting processes and significantly improve operational efficiency for participating businesses.
Regulatory Roadmap: While the technology is ready, the companies acknowledge that current regulations regarding foreign exchange reporting and taxation for stablecoin transactions are still evolving. They plan to roll out the service in phases, aligning with future developments in the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act.
