2201

Yulon Motor plans to drive second-half growth through Foxconn-backed EV production, export demand, and an aggressive expansion of its energy storage business.

What Happened

Operational Strategy: Yulon Group is launching four key growth initiatives for the second half of the year, focusing on mass production for Foxtron, Mitsubishi exports, energy business expansion, and asset revitalization. By optimizing its manufacturing structure and cost management, the company aims to sustain profit growth in its core automotive business.

Financial Results: Yulon reported a first-half consolidated revenue of NT$34.37 billion, down 3.4% year-on-year, though operating profit rose 9.3% to NT$3.326 billion due to improved cost structures. Net profit for the period reached NT$521 million, resulting in an EPS of NT$0.50, slightly lower than the previous year's NT$0.53.

Automotive Manufacturing: The company has successfully integrated mass production for Foxtron, with order volumes exceeding initial expectations. Yulon is also preparing for the fourth-quarter launch of Mitsubishi electric vehicles for the Australia and New Zealand markets, which is expected to serve as a major production catalyst.

Energy Business: Yulon is scaling its energy storage operations, with cumulative sales nearing 15MW and rising capacity for power battery contract manufacturing. The company plans to transition from a product supplier to an EPC integrator, aiming to capture more market share in the large-scale energy user segment.
