Passive component giant Yageo reported September revenue of NT$17.07 billion, marking a record high for the seventh straight month, driven by robust AI demand.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: Passive component leader Yageo reported September consolidated revenue of NT$17.07 billion, up 4.5% monthly and 46.1% annually, marking a record high for the seventh consecutive month. Third-quarter revenue reached NT$49.53 billion, representing an 11.4% quarterly increase and a 49.7% year-over-year growth, setting a new quarterly record.
Growth Drivers: The company attributed the September revenue growth to strong demand for AI-related applications and the recovery of customer orders following the end of summer holidays in Europe and the U.S. Both standard and specialty products saw stable shipment growth, with various terminal applications maintaining a moderate upward trend.
Industry Outlook: Yageo noted that the electronics component industry is undergoing a structural shift driven by AI demand. Despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, customer inventory levels remain healthy, and the company plans to respond prudently to economic changes while adjusting flexibly to mitigate tariff and currency risks.
Financial Overview: Yageo's cumulative revenue for the first nine months of the year reached NT$132.15 billion, a 36.3% increase compared to the same period last year. The company remains focused on monitoring market developments to ensure stable operational performance amidst global volatility.
