Quartz component manufacturer TXC reported record August revenue of NT$1.415 billion, with analysts expecting AI-related revenue to double this year.
What Happened
Record Revenue: Quartz component leader TXC reported August revenue of NT$1.415 billion, a 3.6% monthly increase and a 23% year-on-year rise, marking a new record. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months reached NT$9.818 billion, up 11.7% year-on-year.
Price Hikes: Analysts note that the benefits of two previous price hikes are now materializing in the second half of the year. With surging demand for high-frequency quartz components in AI data centers, TXC has secured spots in the supply chains of top-tier optical module manufacturers, with AI-related revenue expected to double this year.
Profitability: TXC reported earnings per share (EPS) of NT$2.96 for the first half of the year, outperforming the NT$2.46 recorded in the same period last year. A gross margin of 33.1% reflects effective product mix optimization and cost management.
Expansion Plans: To meet robust demand, TXC has allocated over NT$1 billion in capital expenditures this year, primarily for front-end process expansion at its Pingzhen plant. The company is focusing on high-frequency quartz components for AI data centers, optical communications, and high-end oscillators.
