The Taiwan Stock Exchange has launched the 'Bloomberg x TWSE Power Up' initiative to enhance international exposure for mid-cap companies through Bloomberg terminal access.
What Happened
Strategic Partnership: The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bloomberg to collaborate on enhancing global visibility, accelerating capital market development, and fostering innovation in indices and asset management. This partnership aims to bridge Taiwan’s industrial strengths with international capital markets to support the vision of becoming an Asian asset management hub.
Power Up Initiative: The newly launched 'Bloomberg x TWSE Power Up' program targets mid-cap companies with market capitalizations between NT$40 billion and NT$200 billion. Participating firms will receive Bloomberg terminal subscriptions and institutionalized support to improve their investor relations and international outreach.
Global Exposure: The collaboration includes digital promotion and knowledge sharing, with the TAIEX index now featured on Bloomberg.com’s market index section. This integration provides global investors with real-time, authoritative market data, strengthening the connection between Taiwan’s equity market and the global financial community.
Future Outlook: TWSE Chairman Lin Hsiu-ming emphasized that Taiwan’s pivotal role in the AI supply chain requires a robust capital market foundation. By leveraging Bloomberg’s global research and expertise, the initiative aims to showcase the competitiveness of Taiwan’s mid-sized firms while cultivating future talent for the financial sector.
