Nan Ya Plastics reports record-breaking earnings with EPS hitting 10.07 TWD in the first nine months, driven by AI material demand and memory sector recovery, positioning it as a key player for year-end group window dressing.
What Happened
Record-Breaking Earnings: Nan Ya Plastics reported a net profit of 38.833 billion TWD for Q3, with a quarterly EPS of 4.90 TWD, bringing the cumulative EPS for the first nine months to 10.07 TWD. These figures represent historic highs for the company, driven not only by non-operating income but also by a significant improvement in core operating profitability.
AI Transformation and Material Strategy: Electronic materials now account for 58.1% of Nan Ya's total revenue, cementing their status as the company's core business. By vertically integrating high-end fiberglass cloth, copper foil, and high-speed CCL, the company has successfully penetrated the AI server supply chain, benefiting from high capacity utilization and rising product prices.
Dual-Engine Growth: Beyond its electronic materials business, Nan Ya is benefiting from the recovery in the memory market through its investment in Nanya Technology, which contributed substantial investment income in Q3. This dual-engine growth model—combining AI material expansion with memory price recovery—is prompting a market re-evaluation of the company beyond its traditional petrochemical roots.
Group Window Dressing: As the year-end window dressing season for the Formosa Plastics Group begins, Nan Ya stands out as a key indicator stock. While institutional investors have recently adjusted their positions, the company remains well-positioned to lead the group's performance, provided that demand for electronic materials remains robust and memory profits continue to materialize.
