China Motor Corp's subsidiary GreenTrans launched its GT5X and GT3X quadruped robots, targeting smart inspection and logistics in semiconductor facilities.

What Happened

Robotic Innovation: GreenTrans, a subsidiary of China Motor Corp (CMC), unveiled its new GT5X and GT3X quadruped robots at SEMICON Taiwan, designed for smart inspections and material handling. These robots leverage AI edge computing and CMC’s expertise in localized battery and motor technology to support automated factory operations.

Semiconductor Integration: Building on its success with AMR products in cleanrooms, GreenTrans is extending its automotive-grade expertise to quadruped robots for non-structured environments. The new products have already secured orders from major semiconductor manufacturers, with management expecting strong revenue growth through next year.

Financials and IPO: GreenTrans reported revenue exceeding NT$300 million last year, with projections reaching NT$500 million for the current year. CMC has initiated plans for an IPO, with a potential listing as early as 2026, marking a significant milestone for the company’s investment portfolio.

Localization Strategy: General Manager Yin Hua-hsun emphasized the company's commitment to developing core domestic robotic technology, aiming for 100% local production by 2027. By focusing on safety, AI-driven motion control, and versatility, GreenTrans is positioning itself as a key player in the smart manufacturing ecosystem.
