Nan Shan Life Invests Over NT$4 Billion in New Sustainable Training Hub in Tamsui

Finance · Life/Health Insurance · cnyes · 2026-09-04

Nan Shan Life Insurance has unveiled a NT$4 billion sustainable education and training center in Tamsui, New Taipei City, set to open this September.

What Happened

Strategic Investment: Nan Shan Life Insurance has invested over NT$4 billion to develop a 3.7-hectare site in Tamsui into a cultural and creative park. The project, which spans 9,000 square meters, will serve as a premier training facility, with the first phase scheduled to open in late September and the second phase expected by 2027.

Sustainable Infrastructure: The facility has achieved seven prestigious domestic and international certifications, including LEED, WELL, and green building standards. By integrating natural landscapes with open public spaces, the company aims to foster a sustainable environment that benefits both its employees and the local community.

Talent Development: CEO Fan Wen-wei stated that the center is designed to enhance the quality of professional training for the company's 37,000-strong workforce. This project is part of a broader strategy to consolidate and upgrade training networks across Taiwan, including new hubs in Taoyuan, Taichung, and Kaohsiung.

Environmental Commitment: The park features the "Nan Shan Ocean Learning Ark," which uses interactive technology to educate visitors on marine conservation and plastic waste recycling. Through this initiative, the company aims to shift its focus from traditional insurance claims to proactive health and environmental sustainability.
