Semiconductor equipment maker Wanrun reported a 49% year-on-year increase in September profit, driven by strong demand for advanced packaging and high-end processes.
What Happened
September Earnings Growth: Semiconductor equipment manufacturer Wanrun reported a September net profit of 194 million TWD, a 49% increase compared to the same period last year, with earnings per share reaching 1.98 TWD. This growth is attributed to expanded equipment shipments and an improved product mix, reflecting strong operational momentum.
Strong Quarterly Performance: The company achieved record-breaking results in the second quarter, with net profit hitting 827 million TWD, a 107% year-on-year surge. This performance was bolstered by both robust core business operations and gains from financial asset valuations, contributing to a significant increase in non-operating income.
Outlook and Order Visibility: Wanrun maintains high capacity utilization rates to meet client demand, with order visibility currently extending through the second quarter of next year. The company noted that actual revenue recognition will remain dependent on the specific inspection and acceptance schedules of its customers.
Technological Edge: The company continues to expand its capabilities in advanced packaging and manufacturing processes. By integrating precision dispensing, bonding, optical inspection, and Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) technologies, Wanrun is successfully transitioning from a single-station equipment provider to a comprehensive automation and process integration partner.
