The Taiwan Stock Exchange has launched the 'TiBOOST' initiative to bridge global AI innovation with local capital, aiming to build an 'Asian Nasdaq' ecosystem.

What Happened

Program Objective: The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) is set to host the "TiBOOST" initiative on the 10th, aiming to bridge global AI innovation with Taiwan's capital markets. The program combines international forums and innovation competitions to facilitate deep collaboration between government, industry, and venture capital firms.

Policy Support: Co-organized by the Financial Supervisory Commission, the National Development Council, and the TWSE, the initiative aligns with the government's "Ten New AI Construction" vision. It aims to develop an "Asian Nasdaq" by integrating resources to enhance the international competitiveness of Taiwanese startups.

Brand Vision: The name "TiBOOST" combines the Taiwan Innovation Board (tib) with the concept of accelerated growth (BOOST), emphasizing the goal of connecting with the world and stepping into the future. The program goes beyond identifying talent, focusing on providing startups with access to professional capital market resources to accelerate commercialization.

Focus Areas: The initiative targets AI and frontier technologies, including silicon photonics, quantum computing, smart robotics, and generative AI. Through cross-disciplinary cooperation, the TWSE hopes to leverage Taiwan's tech supply chain synergy to drive growth for both innovative startups and mature industries.
