Lumentum Stock Surge: Driven by surging demand for high-speed optical communications in AI data centers, Lumentum reported better-than-expected earnings and guidance. Analyst upgrades further fueled the momentum, resulting in a two-day rally exceeding 12%.
Active ETF Performance: The rally has provided a significant boost to seven Taiwan-listed active ETFs holding Lumentum shares. Among them, Uni-President Global Innovation (00988A) and Yuanta AI New Economy (00990A) hold the largest positions, leading the gains in the sector.
New ETF Momentum: Despite being in the early stages of portfolio construction, the newly listed Uni-President Frontier Tech (00411A) has shown remarkable strength. It has outperformed its peers for two consecutive days, signaling strong investor confidence in its strategic positioning.
Long-term Outlook: Fund manager Kuo Chih-wei noted that while short-term market volatility persists due to interest rates and oil prices, the fundamental growth drivers remain intact. The team maintains a bullish outlook on AI software, infrastructure, and energy, anticipating significant long-term growth from 2027 onwards.
