Korea Investment & Securities maintains a 'Buy' rating on Robotis, citing strong actuator demand driven by Hugging Face's robotics expansion.
What Happened
Growth Outlook: Korea Investment & Securities projects that Robotis will be a primary beneficiary of the strong sales of 'MicroDuct,' a bipedal robot from Hugging Face's subsidiary, Pollen Robotics. As robot production scales up after 2027, the supply of actuators from Robotis is expected to increase significantly.
Revenue Projections: The firm estimates that Robotis will supply approximately 3.9 million units for the MicroDuct and 'ReachMini' desktop robots over the medium to long term. This volume is projected to generate roughly 78 billion KRW in revenue specifically from the Hugging Face partnership.
Order Backlog: Beyond the Hugging Face deal, Robotis continues to receive requests for actuator supply and production capacity expansion from Chinese humanoid firms and North American clients. The company currently holds an order backlog exceeding 500,000 units.
Analyst Rating: Analyst Choi Geon highlighted Robotis as the only company in its sector currently facing excess demand. Consequently, the firm has maintained its 'Buy' rating and a target price of 450,000 KRW.
