The Taipei Exchange and PwC Taiwan hosted a matchmaking event in Tainan to connect innovative startups with investors and capital market resources.

What Happened

Supporting Startup Growth: The Taipei Exchange (TPEx) continues its long-term commitment to fostering small and medium-sized enterprises by providing a multi-tiered platform ranging from the Go Incubation Board for Startup and Acceleration Firms (GISA) to the main board. This collaboration with PwC Taiwan aims to bridge the gap between startups and vital capital market resources.

Sharing Industry Insights: The event featured successful companies that have already entered the capital markets, providing valuable practical advice to emerging startups. These sessions offered insights into institutionalizing operations and enhancing visibility, which are critical for long-term success.

Diverse Innovation Ecosystem: The matchmaking event highlighted a wide array of sectors, including medical technology, AI robotics, carbon capture, and drone applications. PwC Taiwan noted that Tainan has become a key hub for technological development, fostering a robust and diverse industrial cluster.

Proven Track Record: Over the past 13 years, the GISA platform has successfully supported numerous companies in their transition to public listings. To date, 38 companies have moved toward public issuance, 35 have registered on the Emerging Stock Board, and nine have successfully listed on the TPEx, demonstrating the effectiveness of this support system.
