Semiconductor testing firm Hung Chiang reported its sixth consecutive month of record revenue, driven by surging demand for AI chip analysis from North American CSPs.

What Happened

Revenue Growth: Semiconductor testing specialist Hung Chiang reported August revenue of NT$565 million, marking a 17.78% year-on-year increase and the sixth consecutive month of record-breaking performance. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months reached NT$4.196 billion, reflecting a solid 17.66% growth compared to the previous year.

Market Drivers: The company's growth is primarily fueled by North American CSPs accelerating the development of custom AI chips, which has significantly increased the complexity of advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration. This trend has spiked demand for high-end failure analysis, material analysis, and reliability analysis services.

Global Expansion: Hung Chiang is aggressively expanding its international footprint, with Japan serving as a key growth hub following the launch of its Hokkaido laboratory in September. Furthermore, the company plans to establish local failure and material analysis services in the United States by 2027 to better support its North American clients.

Strategic Outlook: Looking ahead, the company expects sustained demand for semiconductor diagnostics as AI and advanced packaging technologies continue to evolve. Hung Chiang remains focused on deepening its technical expertise and expanding its global laboratory network to capture long-term growth opportunities in the AI semiconductor sector.
