Eternal Materials posted a 28% year-on-year increase in August pre-tax profit, supported by strong demand for semiconductor packaging materials and precision equipment.

What Happened

Financial Performance: Eternal Materials announced an August pre-tax profit of NT$269 million, marking a 28.05% year-on-year increase with an EPS of NT$0.23. For the first eight months of the year, the company accumulated a pre-tax profit of NT$2.295 billion, reflecting a robust 37.31% growth compared to the same period last year.

Operational Highlights: Despite rising raw material costs, the company improved its gross margin through a more favorable product mix. Growth was primarily driven by the accelerated acceptance of precision equipment and increased shipment volumes of advanced semiconductor packaging materials.

Capacity Expansion: To maintain its competitive edge, Eternal is investing NT$1 billion to double its silica microsphere production capacity to 6,000 tons. The company is also expanding its global footprint in light-curing materials, with new production facilities planned in Taiwan, China, and Southeast Asia.

Market Outlook: Management remains optimistic about the second half of the year, expecting seasonal strength to persist as precision equipment revenue recognition peaks. The company continues to focus on high-value products to sustain long-term growth in the PCB and specialty materials sectors.
