PCB manufacturer Compeq posted an EPS of NT$4.31 for the first nine months, driven by robust demand in LEO satellites and data center infrastructure.
What Happened
Financial Results: Compeq reported a strong third quarter with revenue reaching NT$22.585 billion, a 12.65% year-over-year increase, and an EPS of NT$1.8. The company's cumulative EPS for the first three quarters reached NT$4.31, with October revenue hitting a record high for the second consecutive month.
Operational Drivers: The company attributed its performance to sustained demand for high-end smartphone components, improved supply chain conditions for LEO satellites, and increased shipments for data centers. Shipments of satellite products saw a significant quarterly increase, while high-end switch products for AI and traditional servers continued to gain momentum.
Capacity Expansion: To meet the surging demand for data center infrastructure and next-generation LEO satellites, Compeq plans to maintain annual capital expenditures above NT$20 billion through 2028. New mSAP capacity for optical modules is expected to ramp up quarterly from Q4 through the second quarter of next year.
Market Outlook: Analysts suggest that as AI computing power drives the need for 800G and 1.6T optical modules, Compeq's strategic investments in high-end HDI and NPO technologies position it well for growth. The company is expected to benefit significantly from the ongoing infrastructure upgrades in the data center sector.
