Custom memory chipmaker AP Memory posted a 14% year-over-year profit increase for August, driven by strong IoTRAM demand and the upcoming mass production of silicon capacitors.

What Happened

Financial Performance: AP Memory announced an August net profit of NT$261 million, marking a 14% year-over-year increase with earnings per share of NT$1.60. The company also achieved record-breaking monthly revenue in September, contributing to a historic quarterly performance for Q3.

Core Business: Strong demand for IoTRAM and an improved product mix have bolstered the company's profit margins. As standard DRAM supply tightens, clients are increasingly adopting AP Memory's customized memory solutions, providing a solid foundation for continued revenue growth.

Silicon Capacitor Strategy: The company is targeting the AI and high-performance computing sectors with its silicon capacitor technology. With the IPD product line already in mass production since Q2, management expects a significant revenue contribution in the second half of the year, followed by a major scale-up in 2025.

Long-term Outlook: AP Memory continues to advance its product roadmap, including the development of next-generation ApSRAM and VHMStack technologies. The VHMStack is currently in the validation phase, with mass production targeted for late 2027 or early 2028, underscoring the firm's long-term growth strategy.
