Acer's subsidiary Gadget-Tech reported record Q2 profits and anticipates further growth in H2, fueled by its smart home and automotive product expansion.
What Happened
Record Q2 Results: Gadget-Tech reported a net profit of NT$34.7 million for Q2, with EPS of NT$0.56, marking a record high for the period since its listing. Growth was primarily driven by the deepening of its cross-border e-commerce strategy and steady demand on Amazon.
Smart Home Momentum: The company identifies smart lifestyle products as a key growth driver for the second half. Smart door locks have surpassed 10,000 units sold, and its smart safes have also seen strong market reception, positioning the company well for the upcoming peak e-commerce season.
Automotive and AI Expansion: Gadget-Tech is expanding its automotive footprint through a partnership with Car-Life to sell smart home and vehicle-mounted products. The company is also planning to enter the AI-driven medical market to further diversify its business portfolio.
Positive Outlook: Management remains optimistic about the second half, expecting performance to exceed that of the first half. By leveraging its dual-engine strategy of computer peripherals and smart lifestyle products, the company aims to sustain its growth momentum through continuous product innovation.
