Giant Manufacturing posted August revenue of NT$5.186 billion, a 3.21% year-on-year increase, as strong brand performance in China and Europe offset US headwinds.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: Giant Manufacturing (9921-TW) reported August revenue of NT$5.186 billion, marking a 3.21% year-on-year increase despite a 9.94% monthly decline. For the first eight months of 2026, cumulative revenue reached NT$401.31 billion, a 3.21% decrease compared to the previous year.
Market Dynamics: The company's own-brand business saw significant growth, with revenue in China and Europe rising by 30% and 15% respectively, bolstered by demand and favorable exchange rates. Conversely, the US market faced challenges due to supply constraints from the WRO event and geopolitical tensions, leading to a decline in monthly revenue.
OEM Operations: The original equipment manufacturing (OEM) segment experienced a year-on-year decline in August. This was primarily attributed to adjustments in client orders and ongoing supply chain disruptions linked to the WRO incident.
Financial Outlook: Giant returned to growth in the second quarter of 2026, posting a net profit of NT$630 million, a 2.34-fold increase year-on-year, with earnings per share of NT$1.62. The company's gross margin for the first half of the year improved to 22.3%, reflecting a steady recovery in operational efficiency.
