Memory module maker Team Group is expanding its B2B presence and reorganizing its business units, with a new plant set to increase capacity by 50% in Q2.
What Happened
Capacity Expansion: Team Group CEO Chen Ching-wen announced that the company is building an automated facility scheduled to begin production in the second quarter of next year. This new plant is expected to increase total production capacity by approximately 50%, catering to the diverse needs of enterprise and industrial clients.
Business Transformation: The company's B2B revenue share reached 64.6% in the first three quarters of this year, a significant increase from the previous year. Driven by rising memory prices and a refined product mix, the company's gross margin climbed steadily from 38.01% in Q1 to 49.27% in Q3.
Organizational Restructuring: To deepen market penetration, Team Group has reorganized into two main business units: Enterprise & Industrial Applications and Brand & Channel. The former focuses on server and edge AI applications, while the latter targets high-end gaming and creator markets to leverage complementary strengths.
Future Outlook: Chairman Hsia Tan-ning highlighted that 2026 is a pivotal year for the company's transformation as it approaches its 30th anniversary in 2027. Management remains optimistic about Q4 and 2027, aiming to capitalize on AI-driven growth through continuous technical upgrades and global channel expansion.
