TCI Gene, a biotech firm, expects record-breaking annual revenue driven by international licensing and strong product shipments, while planning a future IPO.

What Happened

Revenue Outlook: TCI Gene's General Manager Yan Lin-quan announced that the company is on track to achieve record annual revenue this year, fueled by international licensing deals and robust product shipments. The firm reported a 14.34% year-on-year increase in revenue for the first three quarters, highlighting strong performance across both domestic and overseas markets.

Capacity Expansion: The company's subsidiary, Opa Biotech, is investing NT$350 million to expand its manufacturing facilities, with validation expected by the end of 2027. This expansion is set to triple the current production capacity for oral solid dosage forms, supporting long-term growth objectives.

Market Listing Plans: TCI Gene aims to file for an OTC listing by the second quarter of next year. Depending on the clinical progress of its schizophrenia drug AX251 and potential qualification as a technology enterprise, the company is also considering a direct IPO to further its capital market strategy.

Global Strategy: Leveraging its proprietary OROS laser-drilling sustained-release technology, the company has successfully licensed four products across Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, and the Middle East. Management continues to prioritize deeper market penetration in Japan and South Korea to sustain its international momentum.
