Taya reported a 61% surge in nine-month net profit to NT$2.05 billion, though third-quarter earnings were weighed down by valuation losses in Taipower-related investments.

What Happened

Financial Results: Taya announced a cumulative net profit of NT$2.049 billion for the first nine months of the year, marking a 61.41% year-on-year increase with an EPS of NT$2.61. However, the third quarter saw a 14.89% decline in net profit to NT$291 million, primarily due to valuation losses from its investment in Taiwan Cogeneration Corporation (TCC).

Core Business Strength: The company continues to benefit from Taipower’s resilient grid plan, maintaining a robust order backlog of approximately NT$15 billion. Furthermore, the surge in AI data center construction has significantly boosted demand for cabling, with orders from major semiconductor manufacturers doubling compared to previous periods.

Green Energy Expansion: Taya is actively expanding its green energy portfolio, currently operating 70 solar power plants with a total capacity of 207MW. In the energy storage sector, the company holds nearly 200MW in projects, including the 75MW E-dReg facility that joined Taipower’s AFC trading platform earlier this year.

Enamel Wire Outlook: The enamel wire division has successfully entered the drone market with its high-thermal-conductivity copper-clad aluminum wire. With the operational burden reduced following the closure of the Kunshan plant and growing export demand for drone components, the company remains optimistic about the division's future performance.
