Huatong reported a strong third quarter with EPS of 1.8 TWD, driven by robust demand for high-end smartphones, low-orbit satellites, and data center products.
What Happened
Q3 Profit Recovery: Huatong reported a Q3 net profit of 2.2 billion TWD, a 48.7% quarter-on-quarter increase, with an EPS of 1.8 TWD, marking a three-quarter high. The cumulative net profit for the first nine months reached 5.182 billion TWD, a 20.5% year-on-year growth, reflecting a steady recovery in profitability.
Multi-Engine Growth: The performance was driven by sustained demand for HDI products, including high-end smartphone inventory builds, improved supply chain logistics for low-orbit satellite (LEO) products, and increased shipments of high-end data center components. Satellite customer demand has been particularly strong as material lead times have normalized.
Data Center Expansion: In the data center segment, demand for both AI and traditional servers remains robust, with steady shipments of high-end switches. Optical module products are currently in the validation or small-batch production phase, and are expected to become a significant revenue driver starting in Q4 as new capacity comes online.
Positive Outlook: Huatong anticipates that the data center product line will accelerate growth over the coming quarters as new equipment is installed and customer validation processes are completed. Overall, the company expects its operational performance to continue trending upward throughout the year.
