What Happened
Revenue Overview: Quanta Computer reported September revenue of NT$325.3 billion, up 76.7% year-over-year, marking a record high for the month. Cumulative revenue for the first nine months reached NT$2.96 trillion, a 99.4% increase from the previous year, with the monthly sequential decline attributed to shipment scheduling and a high base effect.
Product Shipments: Third-quarter revenue reached NT$1.11 trillion, up 7.6% sequentially and 125.2% annually. Laptop shipments totaled 4.2 million units in September and 9.6 million for the quarter, with the company projecting a double-digit decline in the laptop market for the full year.
AI Server Outlook: The AI server business remains highly optimistic, with the GB series production proceeding smoothly according to customer schedules. The next-generation VR series began trial production at the end of the third quarter, with small-scale shipments expected in Q4 and mass production slated for the first quarter of next year.
Operational Strategy: Quanta continues to shift its product mix, leveraging the high growth of AI servers to mitigate weakness in the laptop market. The company remains focused on optimizing supply chain management to ensure that all server product lines meet customer demand efficiently.
