Hung Ching Construction saw a massive 866% year-on-year profit increase in the first nine months of 2026, driven by the sale of a major industrial facility.

What Happened

Financial Results: Hung Ching Construction announced a net profit of NT$1.512 billion for the first nine months of 2026, representing an 866.18% year-on-year increase. The EPS for the period reached NT$5.78, with the third quarter alone contributing NT$4.69 billion in net profit, a 30.75% growth compared to the previous year.

Key Drivers: The significant profit growth was primarily fueled by the sale of the Zhongli Plant Phase II industrial building to the ASE Group, which injected NT$4.56 billion into the company's revenue. Additionally, the company continues to monetize remaining units at its Taipei residential project, "Di Jing Yuan," while the Kaohsiung K28 facility is slated for completion in Q4.

Development Pipeline: The company is actively advancing its Zhubei development project, with the first phase currently undergoing building permit applications. Meanwhile, the Taichung 14th Redevelopment Zone project, which commenced in April 2025, remains subject to market conditions and strategic timing for construction.

Market Outlook: Management noted that the real estate sector remains sensitive to government policy, interest rate fluctuations, and broader macroeconomic conditions. Future market performance will largely depend on the central bank's stance, prompting the company to maintain a cautious and flexible development approach.
