Giantplus Technology has completed its board election and filed its Q2 financial results, paving the way for the resumption of stock trading on August 27.

What Happened

Board Restructuring and Trading Resumption: Giantplus Technology held an extraordinary shareholders' meeting on August 24 to elect seven new board members, with Hsiang Fu-chi continuing as chairman. Following the submission of its Q2 financial report, the Taiwan Stock Exchange is expected to lift the trading suspension, with shares set to resume trading on August 27.

Q2 Financial Performance: The company reported Q2 consolidated revenue of NT$2.1 billion, with a gross margin of 9.91%. Net profit reached NT$70.76 million, resulting in earnings per share (EPS) of NT$0.16, marking a turnaround from the losses recorded in the same period last year.

Half-Year Results: For the first half of the year, Giantplus achieved a consolidated revenue of NT$4.227 billion and a net profit of NT$260 million. The EPS for the first half stood at NT$0.59, supported by a 2.97 percentage point year-on-year increase in gross margin.

Background of Suspension: The trading halt was triggered on August 19 after the company failed to file its Q2 report on time due to the resignation of three independent directors. The successful election of a new board has resolved the governance issue, allowing the company to return to normal market operations.
