Paper manufacturer Cheng Loong reported August revenue of NT$4.34 billion, driven by the expansion of its Vietnam facility and strong market demand.

What Happened

Revenue Performance: Cheng Loong announced August consolidated revenue of NT$4.342 billion, a 23.12% year-on-year increase and a 20-month high. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months reached NT$30.705 billion, up 9.49% from the previous year.

Capacity Expansion: The addition of 300,000 tons of capacity at the Binh Duong paper mill in Vietnam has boosted total annual capacity to 1 million tons. The new capacity is currently operating at full utilization, serving as a primary driver for recent revenue growth.

Market Momentum: The Vietnam market saw a 12% increase in product pricing during the first half, alongside strong volume growth in industrial paper and packaging. Lower raw material costs and improved utilization rates have made Vietnam a key growth engine for the company this year.

Future Plans: Cheng Loong is continuing its expansion in Vietnam, with a sixth packaging plant in Ninh Binh province scheduled for 2027. With the traditional peak season approaching in Q4, the company expects a steady quarter-over-quarter improvement in performance.
